Leanne Smyth was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court in 2006.
Prior to joining Adams & Partners Lawyers, Leanne worked for top-tier and mid-tier Sydney based law firms primarily in the areas of property, construction litigation and personal injury litigation. During her time with one firm, Leanne acted for a large construction company in a massive construction litigation matter for a period of two years which included preparing for and attending trial over a 3 month period in the Supreme Court. She was also involved in the acquisition of a major supermarket chain which involved extensive due diligence.
Leanne also has more than 10 years experience in WorkCover related environments and insurance litigation. She has internal staff training expertise in workers compensation (medical), strategic client communication skills and negotiation skills.
Leanne is also experienced in residential and commercial conveyancing, commercial leasing and commercial hire agreements.
Since being admitted, Leanne has been a member of the Women in Insurance Group and NSW Young Lawyers (Law Society).
Now that Leanne is working with Adams & Partners, her main area of focus is to develop the Building and Construction practice. Leanne enjoys the personal side of law and working with people. She believes a well-informed client is a happy client.
After working in the city for so many years, Leanne is enjoying working closer to home and is looking forward to getting more involved in community projects.
